Sempertrans partners with North American corporation

sempertrans-logoSempertrans, the conveyor belt business segment of the publicly listed Semperit Group, partnered with Shaw Almex Industries, a Canadian company that provides industrial and vulcanization presses.

According to Sempertrans, it will now be operated under the new entity Sempertrans USA. This Semperit-owned entity is headquartered in Atlanta.

In order to serve the Mexican market, Sempertrans will also have inventory and slitting capabilities in Leon, Mexico.

“In recent years, we have successfully established our sales and marketing activities in the USA, Canada and Mexico,” says Boris Illetschko, general manager for Sempertrans. “Through the partnership with Shaw Almex, we will utilize our long-term growth potential in the second largest conveyor belt market worldwide and prepare for the next market upturn.”

Sempertrans is a conveyor belt manufacturer with production facilities in Poland, France, China and India. It provides textile belts and steel cord belts for applications in the mining, cement and steel industries.
