Platinum record

ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014 takes place in early March, and features a new exhibit lot.

A record amount of exhibit space has been sold for the upcoming ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014, and the show has been moved up from its mid/late-March time slot. The event takes place March 4-8 at its usual location – the Las Vegas Convention Center and surrounding area. And this year, a new Platinum Lot behind the South Hall has been added. You’ll find many companies that supply to the aggregates industry exhibiting in the Platinum Lot and Central Hall, in addition to the many other areas in and around the convention center.

ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014 already covers a record-breaking 2.3 million net sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor exhibits. Show management stresses that quality, not size, is the goal. A strategic alignment with needs of the industry has led to programs and events geared toward helping attendees and exhibitors achieve the most value of their time at the event.

“Attendees will find the newest products and technologies and technical experts ready to discuss product features and applications. In the space of a few days, in one place, visitors can examine and compare the best of what our industries have to offer,” says Megan Tanel, ConExpo-Con/Agg show director and AEM vice president exhibitions and events.

“Attendees will also find focused industry education, with the latest techniques and information they need to run their businesses most efficiently. The opportunity to share experiences and ideas with industry peers adds another dimension to the show experience,” adds Melissa Magestro, AEM’s senior director of exhibitions.

Platinum Lot
The new ConExpo-Con/Agg show footprint consolidates outdoor exhibit space into three large exhibit areas (Gold, Silver and Platinum Lots) to provide attendees with improved flow between the indoor and outdoor exhibit space. Attendees will also find more unified, better-defined product concentration areas to help them make the most efficient and productive use of their time onsite, coupled with an enhanced internal shuttle system to more easily get from one show area to another.

The new Platinum Lot is located across from South Hall on Swenson Drive and will feature both indoor and outdoor exhibits, the primary registration area, a full service restaurant, one of only two shuttle stops, restrooms and full utility access for show exhibitors.

Its major product areas will be aggregates processing, drilling equipment and asphalt production/paving.

Global industry support
ConExpo-Con/Agg will be the global industry-gathering place in 2014 with the help of worldwide industry support. More than 95 allied associations and groups are official show supporting organizations; hundreds of industry meetings and conventions will be held at the show; and key countries for industry business are hosting international exhibit pavilions. Attendees can plan their visit with the interactive online show planner – now available as a free mobile app.

New and improved
Our Must-See Exhibits guide is now called the Pit & Quarry Aggregates Show Guide to ConExpo-Con/Agg. This year, the new-and-improved guide will include a list of all companies exhibiting equipment for the aggregates industry, along with their show hall/lot and booth number. And, as usual, we’ll have a show map and details of some of the must-see exhibits this year. The new guide will be delivered with our March issue, and also distributed with that issue at the show.
