BFOR introduces next generation of tire tracking

Bridgestone Firestone Off Road Tire Co. (BFOR), an operating unit of Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT), has developed the next generation of its tire management software: TreadStat 3.0.

"TreadStat has been a standard in the industry for years, but now it's even more user-friendly and provides functionality that will help streamline a company's day-to-day operations," said Chris Rhoades, manager, business intelligence and TreadStat product manager for BFOR. "TreadStat 3.0 is the culmination of years of feedback from our dealers and end-users. We are proud to say that this easy-to-use tire management software will now be extremely powerful."

Beginning May 1, BFOR will offer TreadStat 3.0 with the option to perform tire tracking and analysis online as well as from a PC. It can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection, which means sites across the globe can share real-time data. Enhanced features include:

• Locations can be combined and consolidated across area, region, division or company. It's also possible to merge all locations for a "super set" of data to analyze.
• Sub-reports can be accessed that allow the user to drill all the way down to a single tire's full history.
• Reports can be exported directly into PowerPoint, PDF, Excel or Word format.
• Reports can be e-mailed directly to contacts.
• Some reports have been combined, others dropped, and new ones added to streamline the reporting process.
• An improved database includes all currently published off-road tires, as well as many vehicles — complete with engineering data.
• Users can now add tires by simply inputting the article/product number. TreadStat 3.0 fills in the rest of the information.
• Enhanced repair tracking uses visual marks of red and blue to indicate tire repair history.
• Accompanying the software is a complete library of electronic resources such as the maintenance guide, data book and base price list.
• Job condition study reports allow users to perform detailed inspections on a site's operating conditions, such as speeds, grades or spillage.
• When logging onto TreadStat 3.0, updates will be automatically downloaded — including for the resource library.
• Backed-up data can be e-mailed directly to someone or can be backed up to the user's specified network drive.
