Sandvik, Habitat for Humanity continue partnership

Pit & Quarry

Sandvik’s U.S. and Canada regions will team with Habitat for Humanity to help the Gulf Coast rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This year, they will build a home in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the Connors Garden community of Gulfport, Miss. Despite these rough economic times, Sandvik says it is still committed to helping a low-income family by funding and building a new home. The team of Sandvik volunteer employees will begin the project on Sept. 29 and finish Oct. 3. Sandvik believes its partnership with Habitat for Humanity is a long-term commitment to the effort to provide safe, secure and affordable housing. Next year, Sandvik hopes to carry on this tradition and build a home for a low-income family in the Atlanta area.
