Subcommittee approves transportation reauthorization

The Surface Transportation Authorization Act, the name of the new six-year highway authorization bill, was passed out of the House Highway and Transit subcommittee by voice vote on June 25. The full committee and the full U.S. House of Representatives will consider the bill later in July, according to Transportation and Infrastructure committee leaders.p>
