Are you a pinball wizard? Do you stand like a statue and become part of the machine? Even for the average everyday fan of kitschy Americana, the Pinball Hall of Fame located at 1610 E. Tropicana, Las Vegas, is a one-of-a-kind stop. The 10,000 square feet of wall-wall games from the 1950s to 1990s has a “thrift store” feel. This is no stodgy museum tour; the games are actually playable for 25-50 cents a piece, “a far better return on fun than any Las Vegas casino,” as pinballmuseum.org puts it. Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. all week and admission is free, a pretty good deal if you’ve already lost a chunk of change on the slots.
