The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) is set to host a hazard recognition and risk assessment webinar March 23 at 1 p.m EDT.

The webinar, presented by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health’s (NIOSH) Jennica Bellanca, will focus on the differences between inexperienced and experienced workers, as well as how to focus your training.

According to NSSGA, mine safety researchers from NIOSH will offer practical applications from their recent work on hazard recognition and risk assessment. They will address a number of topics, including how to ensure workers have the ability to identify hazards in the field, how to assess risk and how to fix these hazards.

In addition, NIOSH will demonstrate some of its products that support the understanding and identification of hazards, including the Toolbox Talks and ErgoMine app.

Registration is free for members and $99 for nonmembers per location. Register for the webinar here.
