New Enterprise quarry gets green light to expand

By |  August 16, 2017

A New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. Inc. quarry will soon be expanding.

New Enterprise’s Kutztown Quarry in Maxatawny Township, Pennsylvania, received approval to expand, according to a WFMZ-TV report. New Enterprise was granted a permit from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to dig deeper and use more water.

According to WFMZ-TV, community members expressed concerns that the digging would make their wells go dry. To ease concerns, New Enterprise will supply water to anyone affected by its digging.

New Enterprise is both a major construction materials supplier and a general contractor in the public and private sectors.
