McLanahan Corp. says its Hollidaysburg, Pa., location received certification in the ISO 9001:2008 Management System for the design, manufacture and service of equipment for the mineral, aggregate, agricultural and industrial industries.

ISO 9001:2008 is a process-based certification recognizing organizations that can link business objectives with operating effectiveness. SRI Quality System Registrar in Pittsburgh, Pa., completed the official registration audit in late October and the company received its official certification in December. The success of the registration evaluation was ultimately the result of the commitment McLanahan employees have to producing a quality product and providing customer satisfaction, the company says.

“We are proud of the effort our employees have put in to helping McLanahan achieve its ISO certification,” says McLanahan Executive Vice President and CAO Sean McLanahan. “Not only does it help improve our process internally, but it proves to our customers that we are dedicated to providing them with the highest quality products and services.”

To receive ISO 9001:2008 certification, McLanahan demonstrated effective implementation of documentation and records management; top management commitment to customers; establishment of clear policies; good planning and implementation; excellent resource management; and efficient process control, measurement and analysis, according to the company. It also established continual improvement efforts.

McLanahan Corp. says it plans to continue its ISO certification efforts by implementing similar process and procedures at its other locations.
