DSC00135Screen media supplier Major Wire held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Schertz, Texas. About 30 people were on hand for the event, including company sales personnel and customers. Speakers included Major Wire President Alain Durand, as well as Walter Haver, managing partner of parent company Haver & Boecker.

The 51,000-sq.-ft. facility will produce the company’s Flex-Mat product and OptimumWire woven screen, to supply markets in Texas, surrounding states and Latin America.

Speaking about the new location, Durand said, “Texas is not only known for its great steak and hot weather, but also as one of the fastest growing states in the U.S. [The new facility] will improve our lead time into the market for Flex-Mat.”
