KPI-JCI: Kodiak Plus K500+
The Kodiak Plus K500+ is a 500-hp, remote-adjust cone crusher, joining the K200+, K300+ and K400+ in the Kodiak Plus family. According to KPI-JCI, the K500+ fills a demand for larger secondary and tertiary cone crushers that are used by high-production aggregate producers and mining companies. Refinements implemented include a hybrid-cast and fabricated base-frame design, an automated control system, a liner-retention system, a thread-locking ring and anti-spin cone brake. Other features are replaceable brass thread inserts, internal counterweights, a heavy-duty tramp-iron system consisting of pressure relief valves in lieu of accumulators and brass V-seat liners.
