Komatsu America introduces WA480-8 wheel loader

Komatsu America Corp. introduced its new WA480-8 wheel loader at Hillhead 2018.

Equipped with a Tier 4 Final engine, the WA480-8 combines higher production with lower fuel costs, improved operator comfort and enhanced serviceability, according to Komatsu America.

Updates to the design include the optional advanced joystick steering system. The updated bucket design fills and retains material better due to “generous curves,” according to the company, making the loader nearly 8 percent more productive than its predecessor.

“The WA480-8 is the perfect tool for quarry, infrastructure and non-residential construction applications,” says Craig McGinnis, product marketing manager at Komatsu America. “It’s the perfect three-pass loader for on-highway trucks and hoppers.”
