Kespry named George Mathew as its new CEO and chairman.

Mathew takes over the position from Paul Doersch, the founder and first-time CEO of the company.

According to Kespry, Mathew has 20 years of experience at growth-oriented technology startups, as well as a number of software providers, in senior leadership positions. He most recently served as president and COO of Alteryx, a self-service analytics software provider.

While at Alteryx, Mathew fostered growth in the self-service market by focusing on product innovation and customer success, Kespry adds. Prior to Alteryx, he served as global vice president and general manager for business intelligence at SAP. He eventually became the general manager for SAP’s entire business intelligence portfolio.

“We now have the opportunity to accelerate our growth tremendously, and George has a proven track record and a true knack for building high-growth, sustainable businesses at a global scale,” says John Vrionis, general partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and a member of the Kespry board of directors. “For the past several years, he has lived at the intersection of analytics, big data and cloud computing, all of which are critical to where the industrial drone market is going as the use of drones and the data they provide spreads globally.”

Kespry, based in Menlo Park, California, is an aerial intelligence platform provider that develops drone hardware, software and cloud services.
