Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas introduced the Hyundai HL975 to its HL900 series of Tier 4 Final-compliant wheel loaders at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017.

“The new HL975 wheel loader takes an important place in our wheel loader lineup,” says Juston Thompson, product specialist at Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas. “It gives customers a more affordable alternative to larger loaders like the Hyundai HL980 and provides higher horsepower, larger bucket capacity and improved tipping load than the Hyundai HL970 model.”

Powered by a Cummins QSG12 engine, producing 331 net hp and equipped with a 6.3 cu. yd. bucket, the HL975 is well suited for digging and loading in quarries, gravel pits and surface coal mines, Thompson says. The HL975 has a standard operating weight of 58,420 pounds and a rated tipping load of 44,090 pounds.

The new model offers a standard drivetrain featuring ZF axles and transmissions. It includes Hyundai buckets constructed of wear-resistant AR400 steel, featuring Hyundai’s design that incorporates curved side plates and enhanced spill guard to carry up to 5 percent more than typical buckets, Hyundai adds.

The HL975 also includes convenience features such as a quiet, comfortable cab with an interactive touchscreen monitor. It incorporates enhanced climate control, centralized control switches and an optional “smart start” ignition system.

All Hyundai HL900 series wheel loaders, including the HL965, HL975, HL940XT and HL960HD, include an onboard weighing system with automatic and manual settings for monitoring individual and cumulative bucket load weights.
