At Hillhead 2014, about 450 equipment manufacturers, contractors and suppliers promoted and demonstrated their latest plants, equipment, materials and services.

Organizers of the Hillhead quarry exhibition say more than 17,559 attended this year’s event, which was held June 24-26 at Lafarge Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry in Buxton, England.

Event director Jack Berridge said attendance was up from last year’s figures, exhibitor space on the enlarged site layout sold out and the weather was dry and not too hot during the show. “It doesn’t get much better than that,” he said.

About 450 equipment manufacturers, contractors and suppliers from the mineral products, construction and recycling industries took part, promoting and demonstrating their latest plants, equipment, materials and services at the event, which is held indoors and out.

Hillhead was bigger this year, organizers say, due to a new layout and additional exhibit space inside the Registration Pavilion. In addition, a new working demonstration area near the entrance to the quarry site was added to provide more space there.

The dates for Hillhead 2016 will be announced soon, according to the event’s organizers.
