‘Gold Rush’ star visits with NSSGA’s Young Leaders

By |  March 18, 2015

Dave Turin, a star on the Discovery Channel’s TV “Gold Rush,” addressed the National Stone Sand and Gravel Association‘s (NSSGA) Young Leaders at a luncheon Tuesday during the NSSGA Annual Convention in Baltimore.

Turin, whose family operates Mt. Hood Rock, a company with a basalt quarry in Brightwood, Ore., focused on happiness being the driver of success. He shared his own story and some of the challenges he’s faced in his career, leaving the Young Leaders in attendance with a task to perform in their daily lives.

“Keep dreaming,” Turin said. “Keep looking for that challenge. But look for it in our industry.”

AGG1 visitors were able to meet Turin and take photos with him at Volvo’s booth during the show. Pictured here are Dave and his wife Shelly at AGG1.
