Geith showcases latest equipment

By |  March 7, 2017

Geith displayed a new crusher feature and a range of couplers as ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017 got underway.

The featured coupler options include Geith’s manual quick coupler, tilting coupler and hydraulic quick coupler, all designed to maximize safety, performance and reliability for end users.

Geith’s manual quick coupler is featured as part of the company’s new concrete crusher unit.

“This is the very first time the Geith crusher is available with manual coupler capability,” says Adrian Kelly, Geith sales manager. “This unit illustrates how Montabert continues to create high-performance, reliable solutions for our customers as their needs and applications evolve.”

The GT Series concrete crushers are designed for use with excavators weighing between 14,000 and 180,000 lbs. in recycling and demolition applications. The series utilizes the excavator’s hydraulic forces to crush concrete and cut rebar without requiring any additional hydraulics. The crushers are made of high strength, abrasion resistant steel and wear resistant alloy pivot bearings. Geith’s corresponding manual quick couplers are reversible and allow easy installation, all manufactured to match or exceed specific OEM specifications.

Geith’s tilting quick coupler is on display with a Geith bucket, and is designed for use with excavators, mini-excavators and backhoe loaders weighing between 6 and 26 tons. It is operated entirely from the inside of the cab and saves time and money for operators by providing up to 180 degrees of side-to-side rotation to dramatically increase versatility and productivity, the company says.
