Fuel efficiency increased in line’s largest loader

By |  April 16, 2015

The 1221F wheel loader from Case Construction Equipment is the newest wheel loader in the company’s F Series line. This loader is designed with an 11.9-liter Tier 4 Interim engine that delivers up to 355 hp, the company says. According to Case, enhancements to the engine and transmission at maximum travel speed allow for increases in productivity of at least 18 percent and fuel efficiency of at least 8 percent. A cooled exhaust gas recirculation engine with a diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter powers the machine. Improved side-panel airflow and cleaner direct airflow combine to ensure extended service intervals and component life, Case adds. Also, a new power shift transmission with transmission mode settings allows operators to set the transmission to the specific application for optimal productivity and performance.
