Furukawa Rock Drill introduces rock drill
Furukawa Rock Drill USA released its HCR1100-ER blasthole drill, which delivers more penetration than its predecessor and offers enhanced fuel efficiency, the company reports.
According to the company, the HCR1100-ER minimizes drill noise and vibration when coupled with the Furukawa HD822 drifter. It also delivers 26.7 percent more impact and 13 percent more airflow than the company’s previous model.
The HCR1100-ER blasthole drill features a dual dampening system that stabilizes the bit against the rock. Its control station is positioned to keep the operator away from the drill rotation and dust, and its monitoring system gives a visual of engine temperature, hydraulic oil temperature and fluid levels.
In addition, the drill is powered by a Tier 4 Cummins engine. It also features a total fuel savings system that allows operators to select the optimum engine speed; a rod charger that allows for the installation of five drill steels plus one starter rod; a winch-ready frame that adds application versatility; and an optional wireless remove that allows tramming and drilling from a secondary location.
Furukawa Rock Drill USA is a manufacturer of blasthole drills, hydraulic breakers and various other attachments for skid-steer, mini excavators, backhoes and excavators. The company’s Rock Drill Division also offers a complete line of advanced drills and accessories for construction and quarry sites.
