ConExpo-Con/Agg web site offers interactive show-planning tools
September 8, 2010The ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE 2011 show web sites feature an interactive “show planner” that attendees can use pre-show to organize their on-site visits to exhibit booths, attendance at education sessions and meetings with exhibitors. The show planner will also be available as a free smartphone mobile application.
The interactive show planner is searchable by hall/lot location, booth number, company name and type of product. Attendees can map out booth locations, schedule meetings and education sessions, and set appointments with exhibitors. They can edit and update their personalized schedule pre-show and on-site.
“We know attendees’ time is valuable, and the show planner is a great tool to make the most of their show visit; they can focus on the people and products of most value to their business operations,” said Melissa Magestro, IFPE show director.
“We also redesigned the web sites for the 2011 shows to be more user-friendly and help provide a positive experience before the shows even start, for both attendees and exhibitors,” said Megan Tanel, AEM’s vice president of exhibitions and events.
Show visitors can go online to register in advance, which saves them time and money, as well as make hotel reservations and obtain travel assistance. International visitors will find information about the U.S. visa application process, official show delegations and official letters of invitation. Selected show information will be available in a variety of world languages.
The ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE 2011 web sites outline the expanded show educational, certification and training opportunities available, and registering in advance for education also saves time and money, organizers said.
Exhibitors at the shows can take advantage of several web-site features to streamline their show participation, including an online exhibitor services manual and marketing kit, the latest floor plans, directory listing forms and information on sponsorship opportunities.
Also, two new web features will be available soon to help attendees connect with exhibitors: a listing of exhibiting company “technical experts” who will be at the shows and a “new products and technology program” that will highlight the latest innovations on the show floor.
The shows will be held March 22-26, 2011, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
