AGG1 to offer comprehensive educational program

December 12, 2011

Educational opportunities will abound at the 2012 AGG1 Aggregates Forum & Expo and the World of Asphalt Show & Conference for industry professionals in the aggregates, asphalt, highway/street, pavement maintenance and traffic safety sectors, show organizers announced.

The co-located shows will be held March 13-15 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C.

Attendees can take advantage of more than 90 learning opportunities that provide practical, ready-to-use operational and management strategies and techniques. Attendees will have access to the sessions in the AGG1 Academy, the People, Plants and Paving Training Program and the Asphalt Pavement Alliance’s (APA) Asphalt Pavement Conference.

“Industry professionals need to keep up to speed on the latest issues that can affect their businesses; our show education offers convenient and affordable access to content-rich presentations on best practices and innovative techniques,” Show Director Melissa Magestro said.

The AGG1 Academy will deliver practical and timely content for aggregates producers, suppliers and customers, developed by member committees of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA), which is AGG1 owner. Presentations will focus on areas including environmental; safety and health; plant operations; drilling and blasting; dredging; communications and community relations; management and business development; automation, technology and operations; and sustainability. All levels of industry professionals, from operators to foremen to managers, will benefit with information they can take back to the workplace, show organizers said.

Attendees have access to all education programs at AGG1 and World of Asphalt. Education sessions offer CEU continuing education credits or certificates of attendance to document professional development hours.
