Caterpillar announces executive shakeup

Caterpillar experienced a change in its executive board with the retirement of two group presidents and a vice president.

Stu Levenick, group president with responsibility for customer and dealer support, and Steve Wunning, group president with responsibility for resource industries, have both decided to retire. The company announced that Group President Ed Rapp, who oversees construction industries, will serve as Wunning’s replacement and Tom Pellette, a Cat vice president and president of Solar Turbines Inc., will replace Rapp. Rob Charter, vice president with responsibility for the Excavation Division, will replace Leveneck.

Both retirements will be effective in early 2015.

In addition to this, Caterpillar has announced the retirement of Steve Gosselin, vice president with responsibility for the Customer Services Support Division. George Taylor, general manager for Cat’s On-Highway Truck group, will replace Gosselin.

Gosselin’s retirement will be effective Feb. 1 and Taylor’s role as vice president will be effective Jan. 1.
