Atlas Copco: HB 4100

By |  July 15, 2013

The new addition to Atlas Copco’s heavy hydraulic breaker line, the HB 4100, provides better performance and higher efficiency than the preceding model, and it weighs less, the company says. The breaker has a service weight of 9,039 lbs. and is designed for carriers in the 88,185- to 154,324-lb. class. According to Atlas Copco, reduced weight and better performance mean similar results can be achieved with a smaller hydraulic breaker. A lighter breaker also means a smaller excavator can be used, saving both investment and operating costs. An improvement is a guide system that makes the breaker more stable and resilient, Atlas Copco adds.
