Simformotion LLC names Cat simulators scholarship winner

August 31, 2011

Simformotion LLC, a developer of heavy equipment simulators, selected Wayne “T.C.” Carroll Jr. as the 2011 Cat simulators scholarship winner. The winner receives a $2,000 scholarship to support the pursuit of any heavy equipment-related career. Applications were accepted from students enrolled in an accredited heavy equipment-related program at an institution that utilizes Cat simulators as part of its training program. Carroll, a graduate of Haverling High School in Bath, N.Y., is attending Alfred State College in Alfred, N.Y., to study heavy equipment operations. Carroll has participated in volunteer initiatives that the school coordinates, such as building homes with Habitat for Humanity and projects with the Wellsville animal shelter. The heavy equipment class also supports the college’s maintenance staff, such as constructing a parking lot for the school’s machines. Applications for the 2012-13 Cat simulators scholarship will be accepted beginning in January 2012. Contact Mallory Schlink at mschlink@catsimulators.com for an application form.
