Modular Mining Systems names new CEO
August 30, 2011Modular Mining Systems Inc., which provides open pit and underground mining customers with products that enhance productivity, safety, and equipment availability and utilization, named Luiz Steinberg as its new president and CEO. He will replace Peter Carter on Sept. 16. Carter plans to return to his home country of Australia to be closer to family. Steinberg joined Modular in 1993, and he has since held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility. In 2000, Steinberg opened the Modular subsidiary in Brazil and served as regional general manager until 2005. Most recently, as vice president of product development, Steinberg guided hardware and software development and strategic research and development to meet the needs of Modular customers.
