McLanahan Corp. purchases polymer operation
March 1, 2010In January of 2009, McLanahan Corp. purchased an existing urethane operation in Florida. The company primarily produced abrasion-resistant mining components for the Southeast region of the United States. As a result of this purchase, the Polymer Division was created. Investment is now proceeding to expand this operation’s capability. The Polymer Division of McLanahan has officially become the sixth operating division among the many diversified industries the company now services.
Currently, the Polymer Division is operating out of Lakeland, Fla., and continues its manufactured sales of products into the traditional southeast mining environment along with the addition of many wear components used by the McLanahan Aggregate Processing Division. These components include sizing and dewatering screen panels, screw washer shoes, sand classifier valves, seats, downspouts, chute liners, impact pads, log washer paddles, cyclone liners and vortex finders, along with trommel screens, paddles, lifters and restrictors.
In addition to supplying its companies’ internal needs, McLanahan plans to supply other markets, domestic and foreign. This has begun with its distribution into Latin America.
