Masaba breaks ground on expansion project
October 12, 2011Masaba Mining Equipment broke ground on an expansion of its manufacturing facility in Vermillion, S.D. The 50,000-sq.-ft. expansion is due to increased worldwide demand for its products, the company said. The expansion will be completed in early 2012 and will create an additional 15-20 jobs at the corporate location. Masaba employs 150 people at its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Vermillion. It opened a second facility in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, in July 2009. Masaba is a custom designer and manufacturer of bulk handling equipment. Its equipment offerings include a wide range of portable and stationary crushing, screening and wash plants as well as a complete line of conveyors, surge bins and feeder hoppers.
