Liebherr renews simulator agreement with Immersive Technologies
June 23, 2011Liebherr Mining Equipment Co. renewed its technical and licensing agreement with advanced equipment simulator manufacturer Immersive Technologies for a second five-year period. As a manufacturer and supplier of mining excavators and haul trucks, Liebherr has chosen to continue providing Immersive Technologies with exclusive access to both its engineering staff and its machine technical information. Liebherr first signed an exclusive alliance agreement with Immersive Technologies in 2005 for haul truck simulation for its T 282 B, with a similar agreement signed in 2008 with Liebherr’s excavator business in France. Liebherr will continue working with Immersive Technologies on the development of a new simulator for Liebherr’s T 282 C haul truck.
