As a manufacturer of conveyor components for more than 35 years, Luff Industries’ impact beds consist of impact bars made of a high performance urethane material specifically formulated to absorb and disperse the forces of impact. Unlike standard rubber impact bars, Luff bars disperse the kinetic energy of the impact so it is not amplified and returned, which prevents damage and premature wear to the belt. The company says its pulleys are built to withstand the demands of the toughest conveyor applications with a rim thickness that is typically 50 percent heavier than the competition.
